How is an Akashic Record reading different from a psychic reading?

What is the difference between Akashic readings and psychic readings? In my experience, a psychic connects to a person’s energy field (or receives information from their spirit guides who connect to the persons aura/energy field). The Akashic Records, on the other hand, are a neutral information database, beyond emotions, duality or personal truths (which often affect our energy field).
